Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need to measure if the hose has a size label?

Nominal labels describe a product family, not always the mating surface. Different brands and generations can use different actual IDs and ODs under the same label.

How long does production take?

Products are made to order. Normal production time is 10–14 business days after fit confirmation; shipping time is additional.

What material do you use?

Launch parts are printed in black PETG for ordinary workshop handling. PETG is nonconductive and is not advertised as antistatic, fireproof, heatproof or certified.

Does the adapter ground my dust system?

No. Printed PETG is nonconductive. Preserve any grounding path required by the tool, hose or collector manufacturer.

Can I use it for hot ash, sparks, liquids or combustible-metal dust?

No. DustFitter parts are for ordinary shop-vacuum and woodworking dust collection only, not explosive atmospheres, hot ash, liquids, pressure service or life-safety applications.

Are brand-named products made or endorsed by those brands?

No. Brand and model names identify compatibility only. DustFitter products are independently designed aftermarket adapters with no copied logos or claimed endorsement.

Can you make a connection that is not listed?

You may submit a Custom Fit request with measurements and photos. A request is reviewed before any commitment; not every connection is suitable for a printed solution.

Can I return a made-to-order part because I changed my mind?

Made-to-order parts are not normally accepted for change of mind. Qualifying fit issues are handled under the Fit Guarantee, subject to applicable law.
